It’s probably red because the infrared filter is stuck in the wrong place. Maybe it’s mechanically stuck, or maybe it’s a software glitch. If the latter, just removing the batteries and putting them back in again might help, by resetting the camera software. If that fails, it’s worth putting brand new lithium batteries in, just to be absolutely sure that it isn’t a battery issue.
If it still isn’t working correctly, with brand new batteries, then it would probably be wise to open up a support ticket. They might have other suggestions, or be able to send a replacement, if their tests show that there is a mechanical issue.
