Just got a one camera system to test whether it suits my needs and to test the battery life.
In addition to being able to arm and disarm the camera , would it not be a good idea to have a schedule based on the day and time? A bit like your central heating system. My camera is looking at my back garden and this is the area I want to capture for people who should not be there, but conversely I don’t want lots of activity when the kids are playing during the day. This would surely extend the battery life in each camera.
The ability to schedule the arming and disarming of the system does exist, FYI.
Currently it’s for each sync module, not for each camera independently.
To add to Austin’s comment, yes it would extend the battery life. Blink cams are not really designed for high activity areas. My cams are scheduled to arm at 11:30PM and off at 6:30AM (via scheduling). We manually arm them if we leave the house to go shopping, etc.
Thanks for the info Austin, could you tell me how to access that facility.
Absolutely! If you go to your home app screen, click the “system name” at the top of the menu bar. This will open up a drop down menu.
