Blink has sold hundreds of thousands of cameras all over the world. Assume there are thousands of unhappy customers on this forum and social media. That ratio is 1% of unhappy customers. So lets multiply that by 10. Now you have a ratio of 10% unhappy and 90% happy. This is more realistic. But at only 10% unhappy, the Blink product still sells well.
For the 10% unhappy, Blink has the 30 day return policy and 1 year warranty. For those of you unhappy, return it and move on to a product brand that is built for what your specific needs are.
Regarding solar panels…if you use solar power, you don’t change out batteries. Either that solar panel has capacity to run Blink or it doesn’t You don’t use solar sometimes and battery power sometimes. If you have lots of motion activity in front of the camera, solar is not the answer. Get a wired always on camera. The battery capacity in Blink is not big enough. Lots of motion activity will KILL Blink batteries quickly. Blink is not designed to use rechargeable batteries.
