I received this if it helps out forum members from a leader in support. Note, this makes sense and is a helpful reply. It’s just this should be public so others know what’s happening. This should be communicated that there is a software bug, possibly a service update to let Blink users know something isn’t working as it should be. Especially since after buying the unit, this has not worked for me ever.
“Currently, if you get a new notification from blink, the app badge will not be present. Once you open the app, then leave the app, the badge will show up. Unfortunately, as of this time, physically opening the app is the only way for app badges to refresh. As XXXXX mentioned previously, engineering is aware of this behavior and the need for it to be corrected. I don’t currently have a good ETA to provide, but I can let you know it is on their radar.”
Even considering the above, if you go into the app and then exit, the badges appear but the banners are also cleared from the notification centre.
