My blink XT camera was not detecting motion consistently. Blink couldn’t figure it out so they sent me a replacement. The replacements worked fine the first day only. Now that camera is doing the same thing. The camera at the front of my house has been working fine. I am not replacing the rear camera again.
I can March back and forth in front of the camera and eventually it will detect something. I’ll just buy Arlo cams.
There are a bunch of people looking to purchase preowned Blink XT cameras, as well as full systems. Are you interested in selling yours and if so, what country are you in?
If the re placement cam is doing the same thing it’s highly unlikely it’s blink that’s the issue. How’s the wifi and sync module strength to it.
Does the blue recording led come on every time when when it senses motion, excluding re trigger waiting time?
The blue recording light comes on but I have to stand just about 10 feet in front of it. Also now when I pull the camera up on my phone app I get sound for about 1 second and the camera goes deaf.
@acaye2 the audio on live view is a known issue. They’re working on it now
I will attempt to relocate the camera. But its current placement is ideal for my needs. I may have to assigned the camera to a non-essential use and find another option for the purpose.
@acaye2, it may help moving the camera an inch or so. Sometimes the smallest thing can reflect IR up close, and completely null the motion detection.
Try moving it, and remember, PIR works best for side to side movement
I noticed that the no audio on live view issue is on both of my cameras. So that’s interesting. That particular issue is new. Maybe it will be short-lived.
No I just decided to remove them when I get home from work. Thanks for your suggestions though.
