Agreed; however, it seems that these cameras read the battery strength when there is no load, and have adequate voltage. Once under load, they begin to fail. It’s hard to find a work around.
What I have noticed is that my cameras start to display certain behaviors prior to failing.
Some of which are:
A.) Clips that are shorter than the record time (i.e. 5 second clips when they are supposed to be 60)
B.) Hearing the rapid clicking of the IR lens failing
C.) Delayed notifications
My “mission critical” cameras are now hardwired with 30ft micro USB cables. The others, I watch for these behaviors and change the batteries immediately (around 6-8 months).
