I did get my issue resolved finally on the 3rd Blink call. This gal pinned it down right away. I find this comes up at many tech help lines with other products. Until you find an informed tech, you issue is not resolved.
Ok, there was a simple explanation and now I can get live view. What the problem was, I was on a 5ghz wifi network in the house I was trying to get live view. Well this isn’t possible. Live view only works on 2.4 ghz on wifi. If you are on the satellite it works fine too.
Well the router I had in my house was Spectrum and they had a merged router that kept connecting to 5ghz.
Once I shut off the wifi on my Iphone and went to my TMobile setting, I got Live View with no problem.
Blink needs to resolve this by allowing the Live View to be compatible with 5g network. All the routers use the 5g mostly or a merged router.
When I looked in the blink specs, I had to dig, but they did show that it must be connected to 2.4 ghz.
This needs to be made compatible to both. Anyway it works…
Here is info in the specs…Wireless
Single-antenna Wi-Fi with diversity. Supports public and private Wi-Fi networks that use the 2.4 Ghz 802.11g/n; does not support connecting to ad-hoc (or peer-to-peer) Wi-Fi networks.
