I checked with support and they were not aware of the wavelength that was used with infrared. I am a neophte in this area but I was told by Surefire flashlights that the infrared cap that goes one their lights do illuminate for their devices. I have not contacted them about Blink XT as I don’t think they have any knowledge. I tried my Surefire flashlight with the infrared cap and it did not provide any infrared light for the XT to utilize.
I would imagine that there are different wavelengths in the spectrum of infrared and that you have to be on the same one in order to have the camera utilize it. I think that an additional light in infrared could be useful when recording is triggered.
Any ideas, or perhaps a layman’s education for us, on how we might go about making it brighter when the camera triggers in the dark and only wants infrared?
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope we see some replies,
