I have a number of problems in setting up a non-Blink security camera in gaps of my security system. My powered cameras pull a lot of power when it gets dark, due to the LED power supply and LEDs themselves. Cameras get very warm, especially in spaces that restrict air flow.
My problems with standard wire cameras:
- My driveway is long
- My mailbox is at the end of my driveway
- I want to hide cameras without tell-tale wires
Blink cameras seem to be very attractive to deal with all these problems.
How does Blink detect motion at night?
If motion detection at night does not need the infrared LED, then I can have Alexa turn on lights to assist Blink cameras.
Is there a way to disable the Infrared LED and still detect motion at night?
