I have had trouble with my Blink system recording clips (mostly at night). This problem has been off and on for the past year.
Due to this problem and noticing two of the Blink cameras showed huge data spikes on my Wifi and simultaneously had a red bar for a couple of the cameras indicating no Wifi strength to them. Then these same problematic cameras would be fine and in working order a few days later. It was not a battery issue. The Wifi would show that a problematic camera was in constant use.
Continual issues and fear prompted me to:
Get a new modem
Get a new router
Delete the previous router’s app from my mobile phone.
As of tonight with the new set-up, changed password, changing the names of each cameras and changing the names of the system there have been no clips for several hours (and we have a high winds tonight too). This has happened several times since the new router/modem installation.
This is especially troubling because we are away some nights and rely on these cameras to watch over our place while we’re gone. Mysteriously the cameras will work in the daytime with clips and live view, but the night time is very problematic in getting clips to come up.
The live view works most of the time (day or night).
