urchased a Blink outdoor cam about 6 most ago, seems fine, no real complaints. I know that Alexa arguably exists to allow Amazon to track users, sell data to 3rd parties, etc. I tend not to fully trust Amazon for those and other reasons, and now I’m wondering what they’re doing with my Blink data.showbox
I read Blink’s ToU and privacy policies, and pasted the relevant ToU subsection below. Is it fair to assume Amazon is gathering package data (if a clip shows the USPS bringing an eBay box to my door)? What about when I disable recording (like when my daughter is playing on the porch below the camera mount)? Hopefully not coming off as a conspiracy nut here, but if I knew that Amazon can’t see when I’ve disabled it and they’re informing third parties when I get packages, I might be more likely to disable when I know the mailman’s coming… usps tracking
