I expected, and don't mind, false alarms triggered by wildlife. Ravens, skunks, raccoons, quail, deer, and even a peacock regularly visit our mountain property. Even improvements to camera sensitivity won't eliminate unneeded clips of animal activity and I accept that. I would like to eliminate cars passing by at 100 feet or more distance from triggering recordings though.
In a previous post I described my interest in security cameras over the last 30 years that began with delinquent children teasing our wolf hybrid huge dogs that could eat the children if they wanted to. Instead the dogs were afraid to go into their own yard. The children have grown into even worse adults, but now do not live next to our property. Their mother, however, is still a plague on our lives.
She illegally installed an in-ground swimming pool, and hates our raven population because they sit in a tree and poop all over the pool. So my wife and I feed 50-60 ravens, every day, with beef suet mixed with bird seed. This gives them even more fuel to decorate the pool that we hate.
