I tried alarming my blink cameras this morning before going to work like I do every morning. I always say, Echo, ask Blink to arm. Echo responded with, the Blink for Home skill is no longer available. Did I miss something?
My echo and show tell me all the time that I have not got certain features enabled and I have to keep asking it to do things which it does in the long run but its not ideal
I just tried it after reading your post and received the same response.
too am unable to use Alemy cameras. I have deleted skill, set up the new Blink Smart Home app and it still does not work, and keeps saying the app no longer available??
Same here. Started about 3 days ago. I have deleted the skill. Loaded it again and set up my cameras. Still says “Sorry, the Blink for Home skill is no longer available.” Been using this for a couple of years now. What gives?
Probably get a better response calling blink support directly and asking what’s going on.
Still works fine with my Firestick, so since someone already publicly posted about it - I’m going to take a wild guess that if you are not part of the current beta test it has been deactivated until they are ready to roll out the upgrade. If that’s true, not the best way to handle for people who have been using it and weren’t told that it wouldn’t work for a while without any explanation.
I would like to clarify that my Blink Home Skill gives that message for arming or disarming but still works for viewing the camera on Echo Show and also for showing last activities from the Blink camera.
Mine will still arm/disarm without problems, so the skill is still fully functional. Sounds like maybe an issue with certain hardware.
