I’ve replied to four other posts on this subject. These cameras are no good outside and can be stolen quickly with no footage recorded, no way to track them if used somewhere else, no covert picture taking if stolen and no gps location feature. This is imperative for outdoor camera in my opinion based on my experience and others who have had their stolen in the same way. Here is my reply to the two other posts about their camera being stolen:
"Someone just stole my camera. There is a weakness with these cameras in that if someone has easy access to them and can “come up to them while out of the view of the camera” can grab them quickly, open the back of the camera and pop out the batteries fast enough that the video wouldn’t upload to the cloud.
Here’s the cincher: They would have to know how the back opens pretty well. This is not something that is difficult to do but that, if you know the camera, you can grab in one fell swoop and then open the back rather quickly.
Whoever took my camera knew the location (it was hidden and out of view) well, came from the side behind, and knew how to operate it. That’s my scenario anyway. It was not an issue with the battery nor my sync module going down. My camera had always recorded motion detected movement when grabbed before. Every time. Huge hole in their camera system. It should have a backup system,energy/power that allows it to record for while after it has been opened and the batteries removed."
