Nothing too grandiose. Just extend the front electronics bump (cam/infrared/mic) through a tube into any existing peephole.
Alexa! Show me the front door. When blink releases a doorbell cam - I’ll surely buy it. But having all the electronics outside the door is less desirable that hiding behind the peep hole. With a doorbell, the view is tilted up from waist or chest level … with the peeper cam, you’d essentially see eye-to-eye with any visitor, stalker, or other n’er-do-well
These are just Stream of conscious thoughts …
And offer lesser-cost replacement external parts to repair the unit if vandalized. As - All the expensive parts are kept safely attached on the inside surface of the door.
Continuing the hypothetical …
A blink peeper accessory could be a replacement back cover that extends the blink body vertically and includes an extra pair of double-a to Power an on-demand live view lcd. When not in use, the extra pair of batteries could serve as reserve power for the cam using the existing power port.
If you’re going to dream - go big.
