Battery life is killed by not only app settings, but more importantly how many times a day the particular camera records something. My cameras are set at 30-40 seconds of record time. Sensitivity is 4-6. some batteries lasted 2 months, some have original batteries in them…9 months.
I don’t give a hoot how long they last. They could last 1 month instead of two years. Buy batteries in bulk via ebay or amazon and your cost is 1 dollar per battery. Replace battery every month would be a 2 dollar cost per camera per month. That expense for a entry level home security system is minimal!
The batteries last UP TO two years depending on use. I was a smart shopper and looked up specifications as well as what UP TO means. That way there were no surprises when the batteries didn’t last two years. I have realistic expectations and can afford to spend 2 dollars per camera every few months.
