I was basing the battery life claim on Blink’s own estimates. Strangely they say both get 2 years of battery life but the fine print is different.
For XT2: Two AA lithium metal batteries last up to two years, based on 53,870 seconds of video events, including Live View, motion-activated recording, and two-way talk.
For XT: Two AA Lithium batteries last up to two years, based on 4,000 five-second events per year (or 40,000 total seconds of video recording, including Live View usage).
Either way, would you say these two charts are accurate with the exception of activity zones being added to the XT and early notifications being added to the XT2 (but not the XT)?
I’m kind of bummed about the XT not having live view recording. That might be a deal breaker for me. I will probably just wait to see if Blink XT2 goes on a huge sale during Prime Day again this year.
