Update 12.20: Activity Zone roll-out has begun in the EU and UK! It could take a day or so for your cameras to update, but look out for the new feature!
Update 12.17: Activity Zone roll-out has resumed! Everyone should have zones in the next day or so! Please note that UK & EU roll-out has not ye begun. I will inform everyone when this has started!
Update 12.11: For those of you that have not yet received activity zones, we discovered a minor bug in the firmware (unrelated to the zones) and have temporarily halted the roll-out. We are hoping to continue updating everyone’s cameras in the next week or so. Stay tuned for updates!
I’m thrilled to announce that we’ve begun rolling out Activity Zones to all Blink users. With Blink’s Activity Zones you can alleviate false alerts. By simply “graying out” sections of your camera’s view, you can help to ensure that you are only getting the motion alerts that matter to you. Whether it’s cars driving by your street, a bush moving in the wind or that flickering street lamp that goes off every night, you now have even more control over what alerts you want to receive form your Blink cameras. Simply click “Activity Zones” in any of your indoor or XT camera settings, and “gray out” the areas of the frame that you don’t want to receive alerts from. And remember, this is available free of charge - no subscriptions or fees necessary.
Please reference the support article below for more information and feel free to post here with any questions you may have!
Please Note that the roll out can take up to a week to reach all users and cameras, so do not be surprised if you or some of your cameras do not receive the firmware update immediately!
