I received an alert telling me about excessive ussage on one of my cameras that typically gets minimal use. When I opened the past recordings I noticed a recording I didn’t view and was never notified of. Upon viewing it, I noticed it was over 7 minutes long… How strange. I’m not looking for a fix… Just curious if anyone has had their camera gain a mind of its own with such a long recording time. I didn’t think it was even possible to go over 60 seconds.
Wow, some would kill for that ‘feature’, lol.
But no, sorry, never seen it here.
Is it an Xt or an XT2?
Does it show it as a motion clip or live view?
I thought so too. I was going to remove the batteries and put them back in, but I’m kind of hoping it happens again.
Curious how that will affect battery life.

That’s too bad. I’ve been happy with mine.
Been seeing similar issue with my XT2… excessive usage warnings… but recordings were 1 minute " live view" recordings that I never made. Removing batteries didn’t fix the issue. I think Blink is aware of the problem they removed an experimental new feature “dynamic recording” I believe it was called on XT2…so I assume they rolled back the firmware as well.
