Blink doesn’t appear to offer 2 factor authentication. In there announcement they state:
“As an additional layer of protection, on March 30, 2020 we will begin requiring that every Blink account has a verified email address so that we can provide our customers with the additional layer of security requiring multiple-step verification.”
A 2FA model sends a 6 digit code to the verified email address or mobile device but no where in the Blink support pages does not mention this as part of the 2FA. Email verification is not the same thing as 2FA.
I asked Blink support about this, all they say is that “2FA is enabled on my account automatically”. Problem is, there is no way to verify that it’s working nor is there an indication that it’s enabled on the Blink app. If a hacker gains access to my mailbox then email verification and 2FA does little good. Blink should send the 2FA code to either a mobile device or alternate email address.
